Next month, the Moon will not be seen with the naked eye on Tuesday 16^th March 2010 but may be seen from Israel with binoculars or a telescope. From Jerusalem, and similarly for the rest of Israel, at 18:13 the Moon will be at azimuth 275½° and altitude 2½°. Please look for the Moon on Wednesday 17^th March 2010. From Jerusalem  the Moon will appear to the naked eye between 17:33 and 19:26. At 17:33, the Moon will be at azimuth 269½°, directly above the sunset and 1 span (22°) high. The Moon will tilt to the right. It may be possible to see the Moon with the naked eye a day earlier from Europe and the USA.
