  ביום חמישי שעבר (ל' כסלו תש"ע) הירח לא נראה מירושלים, תל-אביב, דולב ומקומות אחרים בארץ. הראייה הזאת הייתה אמורה להיות קשה מאוד ובנוסף בין העננים היה מאוד אביך ולכן לא היה אפשר לראות את הירח גם בגלל האובך.

 

  ביום ששי (א' טבת תש"ע) הירח נראה בקלות.

  בחודש הבא נא לחפש את הירח בשבת, ל' שבט תש"ע. מירושלים, ובדומה לכך משאר הארץ, הירח עשוי להיראות בין 16:59 ו-17:27. בשעה 16:59, הירח יהיה באזימוט °242, 2 אצבעות (°4) שמאלה מהשקיעה וברום ¼1 אגרופים (°12). תיתכן ראייה בטלסקופ טוב יום קודם לכן מדרום מערב ארה"ב ואילו מאוסטרליה הראייה בעין תתאפשר רק למחרת.

 

  Last Thursday (17th December 2009) the Moon was not seen from Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Dolev or elsewhere in Israel due to clouds. This sighting was supposed to be very difficult and even between the clouds it was very hazy so it was impossible to see the Moon also because of the haze.

 

  On Friday (18th December 2009) the Moon was clearly visible.

  Next month, please look for the Moon on Saturday 16th January 2009. From Jerusalem and similarly for the rest of Israel the Moon might appear between 16:59 and 17:27. At 16:59, the Moon will be at azimuth 224°, 2 fingers (4°) left of the sunset and 1¼ fists (12°) high. It may be possible to see the Moon a day earlier with a good telescope from the southwestern USA while the Moon will not be visible to the naked eye from Australia till the following day.
