הירח נראה מהארץ ביום ג' ל' אלול תשס"ז. אליהו כ"ץ ראה אותו מאופרה ב-19:24, נעמה אבג'ה ראה אותו מתלמון ב-19:24 מגדי שמואל ראה אותו ב-19:35 מרנו, נחמיה גורדון ראה אותו ב-19:36 ממרכז ירושלים ונריה הרואה ראה אותו מהר הצופים בירושלים ב-19:36. מוויטצ'ורץ', אנגליה, איפה שהייתי, זה היה מעונן. תודה לכולם שדיווחו.

יהיה ליקוי לבנה מלאה ביום ג' י"ד אלול אבל לא ייראה בארץ. למרות זאת אפשר לראותו באינטרנט ב- http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/LEmono/TLE2007Aug28/TLE2007Aug28.html

 

בחודש הבא הירח ייראה מהארץ ורוב העולם ביום ה' א' תשרי תשס"ח. בצפון אירופה הירח ייראה רק למחרת. מירושלים (והמצב דומה לשאר הארץ) ייתכן הראיה בין 18:48 ו-19:31. הירח יופיע בתחילה שמאלה משקיעת השמש באזימות °254 ורום °9. בגלל החג והשבת הדיווח יינתן רק ביום ראשון.

 

The Moon was seen from Israel on Tuesday 14th August 2007. Elijahu Kats saw it from Ofra at 19:24, Naama Abaje saw it from Talmon at 19:24, Magdi Shamuel saw it from Ranen at 19:35, Nehemia Gordon saw it from central Jerusalem at 19:36 and Neria Haoreh saw it from Mount Scopus, Jerusalem at 19:36. From Whitchurch, England, where I was, it was cloudy. Thank you to everyone who reported.

There will be a total lunar eclipse on Tuesday 28th August 2007 but it will not be visible from Israel. However, you can see in on the Internet at http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/LEmono/TLE2007Aug28/TLE2007Aug28.html

 

Next Month, the Moon will be seen from Israel and most of the World on Thursday 13th September 2007. From Northern Europe, it will only appear the following day. From Jerusalem (and similarly for the rest of Israel) the Moon may be seen between 18:48 and 19:31. The Moon will appear at the start of its appearance left of the sunset at azimuth 254° and altitude 9°. Because of the Rosh Hashanah festival and Shabbat the report will only be sent on Sunday.
