הירח נראה בקלות מהארץ אתמול (שבת ל' סיון תשס"ז).
אני ראיתי אותו ממעלה אדומים ב-19:40 ובתי רינה ראתה אותו ב-19:41. מירושלים,
נחמיה ודבורה גורדון ראו אותו ב-19:53, דינה מרקוס ב-19:59, וג'ואן בצ'לור ב-20:10. מתקוע, ברוס
וחן-אל בריל ראו אותו ב-20:05. ממושב מצליח, נריה הרואה
ראה את הירח ב-19:57. ממצפה נטופה, דניאל ג'קסון ראה את הירח ב-20:25 עם קבוצה של 8 אנשים. יעקב נמט ראה את הירח מחיפה ב-20:21. הירח לא נראה מגוטרבורג שוודיה בגלל עננים וגשם. תודה לכל מי שחיפש ודיווח.
הירח שנראה ממעלה אדומים ב-20:55 אור לא' תמוז תשס"ז. שים
לב לזוהר הארץ חלש שממלה את פגימתו של הירח.
בחודש הבא, הירח ייראה מהארץ (עם
לא אביך מאוד) ורוב העולם ביום א' כ"ט תמוז תשס"ז. מירושלים ייתכן ראייה
בין 19:49 עד 20:38. בתחילת הראייה הירח יהיה באזימות °288 (כ-°8 שמאלה ממקום
שקיעת השמש) וברום °10. הראייה דומה לשאר הארץ. באנגליה ובהודו הראייה יהיה גבולית
ובסקנדינביה ואוסטרליה הירח לאיירה בעין עד למחרת.
The Moon was seen
clearly from Israel
yesterday (Saturday 16th June 2007). I saw it from Maale Adumim at 19:40 and my
daughter Rina saw in at 19:41. From Jerusalem, Devorah
and Nehemia Gordon saw it at 19:53. Dina Marcus at 19:59 and Joann Bacheller
at 20:10. From Tekoa, Bruce and Hen-El Brill
saw it at 20:05/ From Moshav Matsliach,
Neria Haroeh saw the Moon
at 19:57. From Mitspe Netufa,
Daniel Jackson saw the Moon at 20:25 with a group of 8 people. Yaakov Nemet saw the Moon from Haifa at 20:21. The Moon was not seen from Göteborg,
Sweden because
of clouds and rain. Thank you to everyone who looked and reported.

2007/06/16 20:55 (UTC+3). Note the weak earthshine that fills the disk of the Moon.
Next month the Moon will be
seen from Israel
(if it is not very hazy) and most of the World on Sunday 15th July
2007. From Jerusalem,
the Moon may be visible from 19:49 till 20:38. At the start of visibility, the
Moon will be at azimuth 288° (about 8° left of the sunset) and altitude 10°.
The appearance will be similar from the rest of Israel. In England and India,
the Moon will be marginal while in Scandinavia and Australia, the Moon will only be
visible to the naked eye the following day.
