  הירח נראה אתמול (יום ד' א' כסלו תשס"ו) מהארץ. היה אביך או מעונן בירושלים לכן הראייה הייתה קשה ואילו הראייה הייתה קלה יותר במקומות אחרים. בתל אשר, בעכו הראשון שראה את הירח היה אורי מזרחי ב-16:26 עד שהוא נמוג ב-17:20. דיווח זה היה מוקדם מהצפוי ולכן הוא עדיין בבדיקה. מאשדוד מגדי שמואל ראה את הירח ב-16:40 ואלי שמואל ב-16:47 עד שהוא נמוג ב-17:21. אני ראיתי את הירח מגבעת רם, ירושלים ב-16:48 עד שהוא נמוג ב-17:03 וקבוצה של תצפיתנים מנוסים מהעיר העתיקה בירושלים לא ראו את הירח מחמת עננים. תנאי מזג האוויר בירושלים היו טמפרטורה °½15, לחות 59%, לחץ אוויר 925 מיליבר.

  ערב קודם (יום ג' ל' חשון תשס"ו), הירח נראה בעזרת טלסקופ בלבד מטוסון, אריזונה, ארה"ב על ידי ג'ים שטאם וג'ון פולצ'ק מ-17:30 עד 17:37 (UTC+7). תצפית זו הייתה אחת מהקשות ביותר שדיווחן עליה. תנאי מזג האוויר היו טמפרטורה °26, לחות 16%, לחץ אוויר 905 מיליבר.

 

  בחודש הבא התחזית גבולית ולפיה ייתכן ראיית הירח מדרום הארץ ביום ה' ל' כסלו תשס"ו. ייתכן טעות בתחזית והירח אכן ייראה גם מצפוi הארץ. לכן נא לחפש את הירח בל' כסלו ולמחרתו. מארה"ב, אוסטרליה, דרום אפריקה, דרום הודו ומלטה הראייה בל' כסלו תהייה אפשרית ואפילו קלה בחלק מהמקומות. מצפון אירופה הירח ייראה רק ביום ו' א' טבת.

  The Moon was seen yesterday (Wednesday 22nd November 2006) from Israel. It was hazy or cloudy in Jerusalem so the Moon was difficult to see while in other parts of the country, visibility was easier. From Tel Asher, Acre, the first to see the Moon was Uri Mizrachi from 16:26 (UTC+2) till it faded at 17:20. This report is earlier than expected therefore it is still being checked. From Ashdod, Magdi Shameul saw the Moon at 16:40 and Eli Shamuel at 16:47 until it faded at 17:21. I saw the Moon from Givat Ram, Jerusalem at 16:48 until it faded at 17:03 while a group of experienced observers from the Old City of Jerusalem reported that they could not see the Moon due to clouds. Weather conditions in Jerusalem were 15½°C, Humidity 59% and pressure 925 mbar.

  The previous evening (Tuesday 21st November 2006), the Moon was seen using a telescope only from Tucson, AZ, USA by Jim Stamm and John Polacheck from 17:30 till 17:37 (UTC+7). This was amongst the most difficult of observations ever reported. Weather conditions were 26°C, Humidity 16% and pressure 905 mbar.

 

  Next month the prediction is marginal that the Moon might be visible  in Southern Israel on Thursday 21st December 2006. There is some inaccuracy in the prediction so it may also be possible that the Moon will be visible in Northern Israel. Therefore, please look for the Moon on 21st and 22nd December. From the USA, Australia, South Africa, Southern India and Malta, the Moon may be visible on 21st December and in some areas may be easily visible. From Northern Europe the Moon will only be seen on Friday 22nd December.
