Dear All,
The New Moon was seen tonight
from

The Moon, Mercury and Venus as seen from Maale Adumim,
Last night (Wednesday 6th
July 2005) Jim Stamm and John Polacheck
made an attempt to observe the Moon with an 8” telescope but were unsuccessful.
That was expected to be a difficult telescopic sighting under the best
conditions. The previous day (Tuesday 5th July 2005) Jim Stamm saw the old Moon with binoculars only.
