  At the end of Shabbat 13th November 2004, the New Moon is not expected to be visible to the naked eye from Israel but might be visible with binoculars. However, some experts disagree with my prediction and say that the Moon might be visible to the naked eye. Please try looking and let me know what you see. At 17:01, the Moon will be 2° (1 finger) high and 9½° (l fist) left of the sunset. The Moon will be at its clearest within a few minutes of this time.

  In any case, please look again for the Moon on Sunday when it will be very easy to see.
