Prof. Daniel Mandler
Daniel Mandler is a Professor of Chemistry in the Institute of Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Born in 1958 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and immigrated to Israel in 1963.
He received his B.Sc. from the Hebrew University in 1983 and completed his Ph.D. in 1988 (supervised by Prof. I. Willner) summa cum laude also at the Hebrew University. He spent two years (1988-1990) at the University of Texas with Prof. A. J. Bard where he carried his post-doctoral research and returned to the Hebrew University in 1990.
His main interests are analytical and physical electrochemistry (scanning electrochemical microscopy, self-assembled monolayers) surface science, forensic chemistry, sol-gel technology and coating of medical devices.
He has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers, holds a few patents and has been in the organizing committees of numerous international meetings. Close to 40 MSc and PhD students graduated under his supervision.
