Prof. Shlomo MagdassiEmail: magdassi@huji.ac.il or magdassi@cc.huji.ac.ilShlomo Magdassi is a professor of applied chemistry, at the Casali Institute of Applied Chemistry, The institute of chemistry and the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Born in 1954 , Israel. He received his BSc. (1978), MSc.(1980) and PhD. (1984 ,Supervisor : Prof. N. Garti ). He spent two years as Post doc at Ohio State University (Prof. S. Frank ) , and returned to The Hebrew University at 1986. His research focuses on colloid science, and in particular on formation, stabilization and applications of micro and nanoparticles in dispersions. In addition to basic scientific research he conducts industrial R&D projects for various companies, such as in cosmetics, pharmaceutics and digital printing. He is the author of numerous scientific publications, and the editor of three books: Surface Activity of Proteins, Novel Cosmetic Delivery Systems and The Chemistry of Inkjet Inks. He also has many patents and patent applications , which are related to applications of dispersed systems in various industries.
