Investigation of colloidal systems and applications of new colloids are the main objectives of the research group. The research is focused on formation and characterization of dispersed systems, ranging in size from nanoparticles and nanocapsules, through microparticles and microcapsules, up to large beads. These systems are prepared in emulsions, dispersions and gels, by using suitable surfactants and rheological agents, polymers or bioactive polymers such as proteins.
The resulting microparticles and nanoparticles are mainly used
in Inkjet printing and new delivery systems for cosmetics,
pharmaceutics and agriculture. In addition, the research group deals with Formulation Chemistry, which is formation of stable multicomponent, dispersed systems such as: cosmetic emulsions and gels, paints, ink jet inks, coatings and pesticide formulations. The development of such products is performed with close collaboration with the industry. Specific research intrests are described in research interests
